But while the Parkfield row overlaps in some ways with these other groups there is something specific about the school and its teaching of the No Outsiders programme. A huge diolch yn fawr from all of 3GB today to Andrew Moffat for educating us all on ‘No outsiders’ and the importance of us all having our differences! No Outsiders is a scheme that was introduced to Governors and parents at our school in 2021 and it involves the use of age appropriate story books (see below for a list of the books we use) to teach about seven of the protected characteristics of the Equality Act 2010. Their view is that the PSHE education and equalities curriculum focuses disproportionately on lesbian, gay and bisexual issues and that this work is not taught in an age-appropriate manner.

The No Outsiders programme promotes an ethos of inclusion and tolerance, and aims to prepare children for life in modern Britain. We are now currently dealing with this issue at our children’s school and ready to put truth where it belongs. The credibility of " No Outsiders in Our School" is further increased by the fact that it's author - Andy Moffat - has a history of producing successful, story book projects for schools. A second chapter focuses on creating the whole school ethos through assemblies, school displays and after school clubs. It is spaciously laid out, in black and white, and so the actual text explaining the ethos behind the project is sparse. The bond between child and parent is such that parents wish their children to share their values and will not stop fighting for their children. This is confusing for kids and age-inappropriate; being pushed only to satisfy the political agenda of adults.

It is a primary aim of our school that every member of the school community feels valued and respected. No Outsiders strategies reflect and value the diversity of pupils’ experiences and provide pupils with a comprehensive understanding of people and communities beyond their immediate experience. This scheme was created by Andrew Moffat MBE, who was nominated for the Global Teacher Prize in 2018-19. There was recognition from the chief executive of Holocaust Educational Trust, Karen Pollock, that this year Holocaust Memorial Day is difficult because of the conflict in Israel.

The following year, Margaret was sitting on the station on her way to work when a train arrived and the announcement came over the loudspeaker; "Mind the gap!I am not transphobic, I actually detransitioned before any permanent change could take place – thank God!
