My view is NO electrical appliance should be used in the bathroom unless it is designed for bathroom use and it correctly wired in by an electrician. Living in Isle of Skye (Highlands) our central heating is by oil and we have a small wood burner in the lounge. My second rad was a DeLonghi 800W Banmbino which was actually purchaed for a small 8ft x 8ft office room.

The controls are simple - 3 heat settings, and a thermostat - this has worked reliably and keeps the room its in a nice balanced tempature. Bought it just over a year ago but it has only had a couple of days (non continuous) use when I first got it just to test it as it was bought just in reserve in case an existing heater failed.I gave it 4 out of 5 because as there are no handles or anything to grip that isn't warm when it heats up, you can't really move it unless you get a towel or slide it along the floor on a mat. To satisfy my curiousity I put a power meter on it, and found with the usual setting I have that it consumes around 650 watt. However I have not had it on the highest third setting since I first turned it on, and for the most part it has been on the lowest setting, setting 1, lowest that is except for the frost safety setting. Its variable thermostat has frost protection and a choice of three heat settings, with a safety cut out switch to prevent it from overheating. Will now work out the cost of this but am confident that it will be a lot cheaper to run than oil boiler going all night for just 1 radiator!

The 3 heat settings require the following the power input with thermostat at max (measured from the plug). I think if we had not wanted the machine in operation quickly we may have tried to find a white heater. The trick is to use them only when needed and to keep them set as low as possible to keep comfortable.

We have a Delonghi oil-filled electric radiator in the conservatory, and it does smell a bit when it is heating up - like a kind of rubbery smell, but not burning rubber. Wanted heating, something flexible, for the 2nd bedroom mainly at night without using the oil central heating.

With 2 kW of heat output, the Vento is perfect for smaller rooms or for boosting existing heat sources around the home. kW of heat output, the Vento is perfect for larger rooms or for boosting existing heat sources around the home. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. I bought this for my daughter's bedroom; it's got a large bay window and is on the side of the house that never gets sun, so it does tend to get cold at night. I checked my electric power meter and switched the radiator between all 3 settings and these are the approximate power consumed on each setting.New range of Panasonic BZ, TZ and KEW wall mounted air conditioning units, some with inbuilt wi-fi technology. Many of the poorer heaters have large headline kWh ratings, but have very small surface areas (lack of metail fins, panels, vents) needed to circulate warm air around a room.
