Description

It's installed using an impact shield (and the vehicle's seatbelt) for younger children, or with the vehicle's seatbelt and Isofix connectors for those using it as a group 2/3 seat. A patented reclining headrest keeps the child’s head in the seat's protected zone, so they will be safe and sound on every journey, awake or asleep.

This is intended to give parents more confidence that a child restraint will fit a child during a specific growth period.

The seat feels robust and, because the elements involved in installing the seat and in strapping the child in are very simple, I imagine it would last a long time. This car seat is approved for children measuring 76-150cm tall, which is around 15 months to 12 years.

We've move ours regularly between cars, or in and out of the house when we want to expand the car boot, and find them fairly portable despite their size. The Pallas G is the first of Cybex’s seats to feature an impact shield – a trailblazing feature that reduces the risk of neck injuries in a crash by up to 40%. With uncertainties looming, the family is exploring international treatment options, knowing it comes with significant expenses. This being said, the 5-star reviews from John Lewis parents raved about how comfortable the seat and impact shield were for their toddlers, so it all comes down to personal preference. We'd always recommend keeping your child in a rearward-facing car seat for as long as possible, as it's the safest way to travel for children under four. Excess charges will apply to multiple boxes or boxes with a gross or volumetric weight over 20kg or of a larger size.

I couldn’t find an instruction manual in the box though, and it was only when I watched the Cybex how-to video later that I realised it was hidden in a pocket underneath the seat cover, which seems a bit unnecessary! From the innovative lie-flat and rotating baby car seats to the practical pushchair travel systems and bundle offers, Cybex are always questioning the status quo and not afraid of challenging the establishment. Like other Cybex Pallas seats, it uses an impact shield rather than an integrated harness to keep your child in place until they're big enough to be restrained using the vehicle's seatbelt. This child car seat covers groups 1/2/3, which is for children aged between nine months and 12 years.Read our review of the Cybex Pallas B-Fix to find out if it's great at protecting your child in a front-impact collision, and how simple it is for parents to install. The below table is a rough guide as to how the car seats can relate to a child’s age based on the average child's height. While this CYBEX car seat is equipped with an ISOFIX System, it can also be installed in vehicles without ISOFIX anchorage points by turning the ISOFIX locking arms 180° inwards and sliding them into the booster seat. It requires threading the belt under the armrest – guided by a coloured marker – and into the car’s buckle, then sliding the top end of the belt under a small plastic arm beneath the headrest. Alternatively, please contact the car seat manufacturer who will be able to advise whether their model will be suitable for your car.

As it is known that rear-facing is the safest method of travel, your little fellow passenger can enjoy the rear-facing ride up to a height of 105 cm. Considering this seat will last your child nine years, it seems a worthwhile investment, especially as it feels built to last. The most important part of the test is the crash test, in which a side impact and a front impact are carried out.

The Solution G i-Fix by Cybex is a UN R129/03 regulated car seat offering supreme comfort with top safety features to keep your growing child safe and sound in the backseat. This matched the experience of Puneet, another MFM parent reviewer, who said the Cybex Solution Z was “the softest and most comfortable carseat” she had ever used, and with four children, she’s seen a fair few! For insurance purposes, the public are prohibited on site where distribution takes place for health and safety reasons. The side bolsters do mean she struggles to see out of the side of the car at times - cue some complaining when she was trying to see a hot air balloon out of the window - but the plus side is it feels very safe and Eden will rest her head on them when she's tired.
