Description

It is it's based on a 1970s Dodge Charger R/T, but one specific one, the Charger driven by Vin Diesel's character in the first film in the series, The Fast and the Furious, released in 2001. One thing to consider is this is a big set when complete so if you plan to display it you will need decent shelf space.

This was my first lego technic kit I bought and was highly impressed with the build quality, size and clear instructions. Every time I build a LEGO Technic set, it feels as though I’m learning fundamental building principles all over again. On the other hand, this method of construction should make creating your own body for this chassis quite easy. Brick-a-brac is a UK based e-commerce retailer specialising in discontinued, rare and exclusive LEGO products. Oh, I almost forgot: for completion's sake, here is the whole set of bags (which are numbered 1 to 4) with the loose frame 11x15 and tyres, plus the Dreaded Sticker Sheet.Check out the V8 engine, moving pistons and steering system, plus two nitro bottles for extra power. If the technic department would look to the creator experts, maybe we could have both just like they did with the regular and tuned Mustang?

Apart from a few gear exchanges through the length of the car, the movement stays as a circular pattern. Well packed even though the shippers tossed the box around like a football it was so well packed it wasn’t harmed! The size of the groove doesn't appear to correspond with other elements, so I can only assume it's there to allow for an easier moulding process, or maybe to help users mount it in the correct orientation. Authentic features let kids recreate the thrill of driving the real car, with moving pistons, suspension, steering system and air blower. Knob (4211483 | 4274) in the way makes this operation awkward and makes us insert the snap at an angle, which unnecessarily forces all the elements involved.

That said, and while I can forgive the model's blockiness due to the limitations of LEGO Technic elements, there's one thing I'm unable to give a pass: the lack of an external rear-view mirror. When doing some "crash testing" of the finalised model these tended to pop off, so the connection isn't the most secure.

I can't agree more with the opinion that this car should have been a Creator Expert vehicle built of System pieces. Designed in collaboration with Universal Studios and Dodge, this LEGO Technic building kit is full of cool features. But with the recent influx of expensive LEGO sets that include both good looks and interesting LEGO Technic functions, I realized there is a lot of building potential I know little to nothing about. This was most likely decided upon to prevent them from sticking out too high from the car's body and preserve its looks. Because the look of the model is highly important to me, I tend to gravitate toward LEGO System sets.If I'm not mistaken, more colours of the same mould increase production costs, so I have no idea why they couldn’t all be Black here. Authentic features let fans recreate the thrill of driving the real car, with moving pistons, suspension, steering system and air blower.
